Wayward Plants

About

For the past decade, Wayward Plants has been the Official Reuse Partner of the RHS, rehoming thousands of plants, trees and landscape materials each year from Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace. To date, we've rehomed more than 100,000 mature plants, trees and materials to 1,000 community and school gardens, diverting 500 tonnes of waste from landfill. We're now launching the Wayward Plants Reuse Centre in our newest meanwhile space, Cultivate Colindale, a 4,000m2 plot of land we're transforming into a green space hub bringing together sustainability, culture and community. This is the next step in our story - we’re building the infrastructure to repurpose plants, trees, and salvaged construction materials year-round from the horticultural and building industries, supporting a sustainable circular economy that will be transformative for green spaces across London.
