Looply is a social enterprise transforming single-use soft plastics, such as food and delivery packaging, into reusable sheets that serve as a versatile material for a wide range of products. In 2024, Looply collected 31kg of soft plastic waste from community collection points and local businesses in Hackney.
Our products are cool, but the system behind them is even cooler. We partner with businesses, organisations, and communities to collect their plastics, transforming them into unique reusable items sold back in-store or locally, effectively closing the loop on single-use plastic waste.
By combining interactive experiences with sustainable practices, we make upcycling accessible, tangible, and engaging. Through workshops, online DIY tools, and participatory pop-ups, Looply inspires a broad community to rethink waste and adopt lasting, sustainable practices.
Fyona is a designer and entrepreneur who has cultivated a lifelong passion for using creativity as a tool for change.
With a background in multidisciplinary design, she leverages creative practices as powerful tools for social and environmental advocacy, recognising the need to address these interconnected challenges holistically. Leading a team of female designers and social entrepreneurs, she is dedicated to hands-on approaches that inspire innovative problem-solving, strengthen communities, and create meaningful, sustainable impact.
