With 25 years experience in web and mobile app development with his company Analog Republic, Del was looking for new challenges. He'd started shopping more sustainably with the influence of his daughter who had opened a zero waste shop, but being a crisps addict, he was always sneaking off for a cheeky bag of crisps, then feeling guilty throwing the empty packet in the bin.
So he decided to start Spudos. In Feb 2025 he took Spudos to the Dragons' Den where he secured investment from both Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones.
